This reminds me of a model diorama I made WAY back in the early 1990's and entered in a model competition. I used an old Fanta Orange soda can, made an orange "sea" from clear resin mixed with artist ink, and scratch-built a tiny fantasy Elf ship to sail on the sea. I named it "The Fanta Sea" (It was my entry to the Fantasy model section) but not many people got the joke, and I lost the competition to someone who had painted a Dragon pretty badly (I didn't say that, everyone else said it, as the judges were from the model maker's club, so were pretty biased, to say the least). I walked away with a smile on my face, even though I didn't win, as I'd done something that made me laugh, was fun to build, and made quite a few people interested in where I got the idea from. I still make things like this for my own amusement, but just don't bother with competitions anymore, as I'm only in competition with myself and my model skills now, seeing how far I can go with my ideas when it comes to making them come to life. Some of my models are pretty wacky, but as long as I'm having fun, I'll keep knocking them out😃My hobby is essential to my state of being, both in mind and body, so the happier I am, the healthier I feel😃Most of my output gets given away to collectors/gamers, as I always need the room for more projects, and it makes me feel good to give stuff away than to sell it :-)Â
