It looks like they finally found a tall actor to play Reacher :-) In the books, Reacher is 6ft 7ins tall, yet in the movies, he's portrayed by Tom Cruise, who is only 5ft 5ins tall, over a full foot shorter than the character in the books. Reacher likes to use his height to headbutt people harder in the face, and being an ex-Military Policeman, he had to be well over 6ft tall to make the minimum heigh requirement for the US Army Military Police, as they have to have an "imposing" height/physique, and training to enable them to take down not just regular army grunts, but Special Forces troops, too.
