ARABIAN GULF (March 6, 2012) The Royal Navy destroyer HMS Daring (D32) transits the Arabian Gulf with the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). Carl Vinson and embarked Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 17 are deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility. Daring is assigned to Combined Maritime Forces, Combined Task Force 152 and is conducting maritime security operations in the Arabian Gulf.
