Wrong Doctor. This episode was season 1, with Christopher Eccleston as the Doctor.

David Tennant did an homage to the Empty Child in one of his episodes. He tries on a gas mask and asks Donna, "Are you my Mummy?". She looks back at him like he's a strange child.
