Love these films, but they totally changed Mantis' character and skills. In the comics she's a martial arts expert extraordinaire, a seer, and so much more. The films just make her seem immature and pretty much useless most of the time, until some light humour is needed to lighten the scene. I much prefer the comic version, who is much more empowered, a stronger character, and who gives me the willies with her future projections about what will happen to the Guardians, no matter how many times I re-read the graphic novels I have in my collection.
