Looks like a time traveling ship, possibly a lifeboat vs a spaceship. I see no drive units on the exterior. The humanoids are wearing breathing devices and have rifles of a type. A lifeboat probably wouldn't carry rifles and if the crew had escaped a ship in a lifeboat, they wouldn't have had time to get weapons, therefore I prefer a time travel device. The ship looks well-used or at least, scarred up. Going into the far future - an ice world - suggests they didn't know what they might run into, hence the weapons and breathing devices. Atmospheres change over time. The fact that the ship sits across an ice crack, which is a huge risk, suggests the ship is an immobile machine as well.
